I'm not a customer will I need to provide ID to open an account?

Opening your account by telephone

If you open your account by telephone or online there’s no need to send in identification as we’ll verify your identity electronically. If we are unable to verify your identity electronically you will be required to go into your nearest branch with ID.

Opening your account in branch

If you open your account in branch we will try to verify your identity electronically. If we are unable to do this we will ask you to provide ID so please bring this with you.
